2012-05-05s390: Use generic init_taskThomas Gleixner1-38/+0
Same code. Use the generic version. The special Makefile treatment is pointless anyway as init_task.o contains only data which is handled by the linker script. So no point on being treated like head text. 2009-06-16mm: consolidate init_mm definitionAlexey Dobriyan1-4/+0
* create mm/init-mm.c, move init_mm there * remove INIT_MM, initialize init_mm with C99 initializer * unexport init_mm on all arches: init_mm is already unexported on x86. One strange place is some OMAP driver (drivers/video/omap/) which won't build modular, but it's already wants get_vm_area() export. Somebody should look there. 2008-11-27[S390] Fix alignment of initial kernel stack.Heiko Carstens1-1/+1
We need an alignment of 16384 bytes for the initial kernel stack if the kernel is configured for 16384 bytes stacks but the linker script currently guarantees only an alignment of 8192 bytes. So fix this and simply use THREAD_SIZE as alignment value which will always do the right thing. 2007-07-29Remove fs.h from mm.hAlexey Dobriyan1-0/+1
Remove fs.h from mm.h. For this, 1) Uninline vma_wants_writenotify(). It's pretty huge anyway. 2) Add back fs.h or less bloated headers (err.h) to files that need it. As result, on x86_64 allyesconfig, fs.h dependencies cut down from 3929 files rebuilt down to 3444 (-12.3%). 2006-10-02[PATCH] nsproxy: move init_nsproxy into kernel/nsproxy.cSerge E. Hallyn1-2/+0
Move the init_nsproxy definition out of arch/ into kernel/nsproxy.c. This avoids all arches having to be updated. Compiles and boots on s390. Signed-off-by: Serge E. 2006-10-02[PATCH] namespaces: add nsproxySerge E. Hallyn1-0/+2
This patch adds a nsproxy structure to the task struct. Later patches will move the fs namespace pointer into this structure, and introduce a new utsname namespace into the nsproxy. The vserver and openvz functionality, then, would be implemented in large part by virtualizing/isolating more and more resources into namespaces, each contained in the nsproxy. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
